meet Angie...

The late, great Elie Wiesel once said, “Whoever survives a test, whatever it may be, must tell the story. That is his duty.”  A servant leader, visionary, author and now ghostwriter, Angie Ransome-Jones has made this her mantra in terms of how she lives and how she inspires others.  Angie is best known for her bestselling book, “Path to Peace, A Guide to Managing Life After Losing a Loved One,” which she published in 2015. The book chronicles her journey of finding peace after the sudden and devastating loss of her father and also serves as and a tool in educating readers on the importance of preparing their families for “the inevitable.”

As a spin-off from the book, Angie has created the Life & Legacy Planning Workshop (LLP), where she and her team of subject-matter experts educate and encourage attendees to create a framework for preparing their families for all types of emergency situations; up to and including death.  In addition, Angie assists others with telling their stories through her ghostwriting services. Among the books she has ghost-written, to date, are “From A Letter Man to A Better Man” by PK Williams and “A Family Blinded,” by Meko Krout.

When she is not traveling around the country attending book events and hosting workshops, Angie works as a full-time Vice President and Project Manager for a renowned bank.  She holds a BA in Journalism, an MBA in Project Management and serves on the Board of Directors for the University of North Texas (UNT) Alumni Association, and is a Board Member for W.I.S.E. Casa, a domestic violence shelter.  She is also an active member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. and a chartering member of the National Coalition of 100 Black Women (NCBW, Dallas Chapter). Lastly, Angie lives in the Dallas area with her husband of 25 years, Kenneth, and their two grown sons, Myles and Keaton.
